I was reading a thread on Singletrack this morning, about people fitting 700c tyres into mountainbike frames. And then I remembered... The Ragley's have a very high seatstay bridge (plate) and open chainstay design so that commuters could fit big tyred 700c wheels in. I've not checked "normal" sized tyres yet, but bearing in mind this 29 x 2.1in Kenda Small Block 8 "almost" fits, I think we're in for good luck with fat tyres on 700c rims. Going to nick the wheels of @ninkompoops "Noo Noo" aka "Monsta" later with 42c's on. I'm sure it'll be perfect.
